Description
Nigerian brown beans are a special sub-specie of beans grown and widely eaten in Southern, Midwestern and Eastern part of Nigeria. They belong to the family of plants referred to as legumes, noted to be very rich in protein, yet very very low in fat, more than any other known vegetable seed, making it a great inclusion in healthy diets, as well as weight loss regimes. Brown beans are highly sought after in Nigeria, because they tend to have a unique subtle sweetness and flavour, more than the common and popular black eyed beans.
Tropical Sun Nigerian Brown Beans are small light brown beans which are used in an array of Nigerian dishes. This versatile bean is used in the famous Nigerian dishes called Moyin Moyin and Gbegiri soup. Though called a soup, Gbegiri has the consistency of a stew and also can be served with rice.
