Chicken Wings in Five-Spice Blend
1. Prepare ½ kg of chicken wings. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of Chinese Five-Spice Blend over the chicken wings and knead gently.
2. Brown one teaspoon of minced garlic with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir-fry chicken wings turning a few times.
3. Add 3 cups (720ml) of water, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce and 2 teaspoons of black soy sauce to taste.
4. Add 5 hard-boiled eggs, 1 piece of bean curd, cut into 1 inch cubes. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
